Polestar’s future vehicles will sport a more aggressive appearance, a concept car preview shows.

The automaker revealed an image of the front-end design of the Formula 2030 concept car, which forms a part of a wider 2030 strategy that aims to grow the business and drive profitability.

The Formula 2030 concept car shows a wide and sporty stance up front with the company’s signature “dual blade” headlights.

The Swedish electric vehicle maker said the concept car previews the design direction that will be seen on the new Polestar 2, which is planned for a 2027 launch, as well as the upcoming Polestar 7.

“Polestar’s design and brand is already so strong, it was obvious we needed a bold evolution not revolution of what came before,” said Philipp Römers, head of design at Polestar, in a news release.

“Formula 2030 delivers this, showcasing our future while respecting brand-defining elements like the familiar Dual Blade headlights ensuring it remains recognizably a Polestar with a strong, characterful identity.”

Polestar said the Formula 2030 concept car, in its full form, will be shown to privately to investors, retailers and VIP customers first and then will make its global debut later this year.
