Canadians may soon be able to shop for vehicles from multiple Chinese automakers.

BYD, Geely and Chery have widely been reported to have interest in entering the Canadian market, and they could be here as soon as later this year or sometime next year.

A fourth Chinese automaker, Dongfeng, is also working to enter Canada.

The automaker held a media event in mid-July at the Grand Quai du Port de Montréal, where it showed the electric and hybrid vehicles that may soon be sold here.

Dongfeng Canada has also opened up a Canadian website with details of its vehicles.

The automaker points out the vehicles shown on the Dongfeng Canada website are undergoing homologation and the regulatory approval process before they can be sold here. Furthermore, vehicle specifications and launch dates are still to be confirmed.

Let’s take a look at the six vehicles Dongfeng Canada has shown at the Montreal event and on its website.
