The Audi A3 family of cars is getting a more tech-forward interior for the 2027 model year.

The new features are expected to launch in Europe in mid-September and should arrive in Canada not much later.

The A3 represents Audi’s subcompact family of cars, which also includes the sportier S3 and sportiest RS 3 variants.

New tech features

The 2027 Audi A3 is getting a new curved panoramic display that includes an 11.9-inch driver display and 12.8-inch centre display.

The dashboard is picking up a wider decorative inlay for a more horizontally continuous line from the instrument cluster to the front passenger door.

The range of driver assist features is also expanding. These will be offered in a three-tier package structure consisting of the Tech, Tech plus and Tech pro trims.

All models will get adaptive cruise assist plus, which includes adaptive cruise control with active lane guidance up to speeds of 210 km/h.

The system can also change lanes by itself on highways when the turn signal is activated.

A new feature of the system includes automatic braking at red lights.

Another new feature is that the system uses swarm data, which allows the car to adjust its own speed to the average speed of the road.

Another feature is the availability of four wide-angle cameras providing a 360-degree view around the car. The image is shown in 3D on the panoramic display, offering a bird’s-eye view of the vehicle when parking or going around tight areas.

Available park assist plus and pro features use cameras to detect parking lines, which enables the car to pull in and out of parking spots on its own. Park assist pro adds a remote function.

The car can also learn and memorize parking maneuvers, such when specific parking spots are difficult to access.

Interior materials

The 2027 Audi A3 will have four interior material options: carbon fibre, Dinamica microfiber, “Light crepe” and “Impressum black.”

The centre console is getting updated to give it a cellphone tray that is oriented toward the driver’s seat and has 25-watt wireless charging.

The steering wheels – there are two double-spoke and one three-spoke available – are getting a physical scroll wheel integrated into the multi-function buttons.
