Porsche is fighting against the endless sea of white, grey and black vehicles on our roads today by seriously expanding the colour palette of the Cayenne Electric.

The electric SUV, which is available in traditional SUV or coupe body styles, is gaining a new Paint to Sample program that seriously increases colour options, plus a few other new features.

Paint to Sample highlights

The Paint to Sample program is part of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, and introduces 92 new paint shades to the Cayenne lineup.

This is on top of the 13 standard colour options on the vehicle, giving the SUV a total of 105 paint shades.

Wireless charging

Porsche is also introducing its wireless charging on the vehicle.

Porsche Wireless Charging features a wireless charging pad that is permanently installed on the ground, such as on the driveway, so that when the vehicle is parked over it, it can begin charging automatically, no cables required

Porsche said the system can charge at speeds up to 11 kW and has an efficiency of about 90 per cent.

Electric doors

The 2027 Cayenne Electric is also picking up optional electric doors with automatic assistance. These electronically operated doors feature servo motors that can open and close all four doors.

To get into the vehicle, the occupant has to give the door handle a brief pull and the doors will open automatically.

From the inside, the doors can be operated via buttons in the cabin, on the door handles, the Flow Display of the Porsche Communication Management system, and remotely via the Porsche Digital Key.

The driver’s door can also close when the driver fastens their seatbelt or when they press the brake pedal.

New massage function

The Cayenne Electric is also picking up new massage functionality.

The two front seats get five massage programs that adjust vibration massage intensity.

The massage function also includes 4D audio that allows the massage seats to complement the audio. There are sound actuators integrated into the seats to enhance the listening experience.

New interior accents

The interior is also picking up new accent options with the introduction of an Extended Package Interior Style. This includes new leather trims and decorative stitching and other new options.
