Porsche owners and fans of the brand came out in droves to Porsche’s Ontario driving centre for an event that celebrated sports cars and raised money for children’s hospitals.
Porsche Experience Centre Toronto, which is located just east of the city in Pickering, held its Sportscar Together Day Sunday, Sept. 13.
It drew more than 1,000 people, Porsche Cars Canada said.
There, visitors were greeted to a live DJ set, hundreds of Porsches on display and various activities to entertain the crowd.
In exchange, people were asked to make a donation to Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada. Porsche Cars Canada also donated $20,000 to the charity.
Every $10,000 donated allows the charity to donate the Starlight Fun Centre to a local children’s hospital.
The mobile entertainment unit equipped with a TV and gaming system, which can be brought right up to a child’s bedside.

PEC Toronto launches drift school
PEC Toronto also launched a new Drift Experience at the event.
Drift Experience is a new drift program that will be available at the Toronto driving centre on Saturdays starting on Sept. 19.
It’s an entry-level program designed for those who want to learn how to take their car sideways. The instruction is conducted in a Porsche 911 Carrera S.
The company said participants will learn the fundamentals of drift control through expert-led instruction and driving exercises.
The program costs $795 per person.
