About the 2027 Atlas

The redesigned Atlas has similar proportions to the model it replaces, but wears new sheet metal for an updated look.

It also has more premium features, new technology and an updated powertrain.

More power, less gas

The updated engine is a turbocharged 2-litre four-cylinder TSI engine with 282 hp (up 13 hp from outgoing model) and 258 lb.-ft. of torque.

All-wheel drive is standard and towing capacity rated at 5,000 pounds.

While the engine gets a slight power boost, fuel consumption comes down too.

According to Natural Resource Canada’s fuel consumption guide, the 2027 Atlas has the following fuel efficiency ratings: (city/highway/combined) 11.4/8.4/10.0 L/100 km. That’s an improvement over the 2026 Atlas, which managed 12.0/9.2/10.7 L/100 km.
