Hyundai has launched a new version of its popular Tucson with a hybrid powertrain, pairing sporty esthetics and a new lower entry price point for the model.
The new 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Night Edition has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $42,799. That’s $1,000 cheaper than the next-up N Line model.
Once fees and levies are factored in, the starting price comes to around $45,796. Fees, levies and selling price may vary by location.
The Night Edition gets the same powertrain as the N Line.
It features a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and an electric motor.
The powertrain produces 231 hp and 271 lb.-ft. of torque while delivering a city-highway combined fuel consumption rating of 6.7 L/100 km.

“Canadian customers continue to show strong interest in distinctive, design-forward SUVs that also deliver everyday efficiency,” said Fabio Cappella, director of product and corporate strategy at Hyundai Auto Canada, in a news release.
“The Tucson Hybrid Night Edition brings a new level of visual expression to our best-selling SUV, while reinforcing our commitment to electrified powertrains as a premium offering within the lineup.”

Visual elements of Night Edition
The Night Edition gets a blacked-out exterior treatment.
This blacked-out treatment is applied to front and rear accents, detailing and the SUV’s 19-inch alloy wheels.
It also has black mirror caps, window trim and exterior badging.
On the inside, the compact SUV gets a black cloth headliner.
