Ford, an automaker that frequently collaborates with other brands, has created an all-new version of the Bronco with the help of an outdoor outfitter.
Ford created the Bronco Filson in collaboration with Seattle-based Filson, which is launching for the 2027 model year.
The latest Bronco model promises to pair off-road capability with premium features, creating 4×4 SUV that is not afraid of getting dirty.
“There is a massive difference between premium and precious,” said Paul Wraith, Ford’s global design director of sport utility vehicles, in a news release.
“If you’re hesitating because you’re afraid to get the cabin dirty, it doesn’t belong in a Bronco. Every material we chose with Filson had to be honest, tactile, and relentlessly durable. And like a great piece of gear, this interior isn’t meant to wear down, it’s designed to wear in, aging beautifully alongside you and your adventures.”

Off-road capability
The Filson gets the 3-litre EcoBoost V6 engine of the Bronco Raptor, which gets 418 hp, with specific tuning.
The Sasquatch package comes standard on the Bronco Filson. The package includes:
- Front and rear electronic locking differentials
- High-performance Fox shocks with internal bypass technology to improve off-road durability and reduce harshness over rocky terrain
- 35-inch rugged-terrain tires, which help reduce road noise without sacrificing off-road grip

The vehicle also includes Trail Turn Assist, which tightens the off-road turning radius, and the Trail 1-Pedal Drive, which enables precise and confident slow-mode rock crawling.
The vehicle’s terrain management system with GOAT Modes (goes over any type of terrain), includes drive modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery Baja, Off-Road and Rock Crawl.

Filson premium interior features
While you’re rock crawling or blasting through the sand, you can enjoy a premium interior.
The interior features perforated, quilted leather and durable woven fabric seat trim. The fabric is inspired by Filson’s rugged twill.
There’s also a leather-wrapped instrument panel and steering wheel, and brass accents on the steering wheel bezel and GOAT Modes dial.
The vehicle also includes ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and an upgraded Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Ford said the Filson model has the quietest Bronco cabin ever.
Thanks to improved airflow, acoustic glass and enhanced seals, the cabin gets nearly 20 per cent less perceived wind noise compared to a 2021 Bronco, Ford said.
Ford anticipates the 2027 Bronco Filson will be available to order this fall and should arrive dealerships in early 2027.
