Ford’s most powerful Mustang Dark Horse, the Dark Horse SC, can now be had without a roof.
The automaker revealed the Mustang Dark Horse SC convertible, which takes the coupe version’s recipe of offering extreme performance just with an open top.
The Dark Horse SC coupe and convertible were both engineered by the Ford Racing team.
The convertible is powered by the same supercharged 5.2-litre V8 engine as the coupe. It produces 795 hp and 660 lb.-ft. of torque, with power routed to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Smooth ride
Ford gave the convertible a specially tuned next-generation MagneRide suspension that the automaker said delivers a smooth ride when cruising but one that also feels planted when the driver takes a hard corner or hits the accelerator.

Two interior colours
The interior is available in two colourways, Space Grey and Black Onyx.
The seats offer firm bolstering, Ford said, providing lateral support for cornering. The car, when the roof is closed, offers extra headroom for drivers wearing helmets on the track.

Availability details
The 2027 Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC convertible is expected to be available to order this fall.
