The Lamborghini Miura, which debuted in 1966, is often referred to as the original supercar.

Capable of reaching a top speed of 290 km/h, it set a benchmark for high-performance vehicles. Its mid-engine layout set the direction for Lamborghini to follow for the next six decades and beyond.

Now, Lamborghini is celebrating the 60th anniversary since the launch of the groundbreaking supercar with a limited-edition Revuelto that features design cues of the Miura.

The Lamborghini Revuelto Miura 60° Homage is limited to just 99 units worldwide.

Nine colours

The special-edition Revuelto is available in nine colours that were historically offered on the Miura.

They include: Rosso Arancio, Arancio, Giallo, Verde Scandal, Verde Metallic, Blu Tahiti, Blu Notte, Nero Noctis and Bianco Monocerus.

There is some scandalous history behind the Verde Scandal colour, which you can read about here.

The car is available with two liveries.

Like the Miura of old, the limited-edition Revuelto features a lower body section finished in a contrasting colour to the main bodywork.

Customers can choose between the Oro Elios livery, which is paired with Altanero Shiny Gold wheels, or the Grigio Nimbus livery, which features Altanero Matt Titanium Diamond wheels.

The exterior also gets the Miura 60 logo above the Revuelto script and a gloss black Lamborghini rear logo, recreating the style of the original Miura.

The car also has gloss black brake calipers and matte black exhaust tailpipes.

Interior also recalls the Miura

The interior of the car also takes on elements of the Miura cabin. The seats are upholstered with the Classica Trim and feature the “cannelloni” pattern.

The leather upholstery is extended across the centre tunnel, door panels and the rear bulkhead.

“Miura 60” embroidery is featured between the two seats.

Miura owners can recreate their own car’s colour

Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program will work with owners of historic Miura cars to recreate the original colour of their car, if it is different from the nine colour combinations offered on the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage.

Each car is also identified with a special plaque on the driver’s side of the cabin, which has the “Miura 60° – Serie Speciale 1 di 99” inscription.

The Revuelto features a plug-in hybrid powertrain that pairs a naturally aspirated V12 engine with three electric motors for a total output of 1,001 hp (1,015 CV) and 595 lb.-ft. (807 Nm) of torque.

The car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of more than 350 km/h.
