Subaru Canada is lowering the prices of the Solterra for the 2027 model year, so much so that the compact electric SUV may qualify for Canada’s EV rebate.

Canada’s Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) currently offers a rebate of up to $5,000 for the purchase or lease of eligible EVs with a final price of no more than $50,000. To qualify, vehicles must be made in countries that have a free-trade agreement with Canada. EVs made in Canada have no price limit to qualify.

How much does the 2027 Solterra cost?

Subaru Canada is lowering the starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price by $4,500 to a new starting MSRP of $47,995.

The MSRP doesn’t include additional dealer fees and levies. Based on Subaru Canada’s estimated vehicle pricing, the starting price would come to around $51,152, based on the maximum dealer fees and charges.

Since fees, levies and charges may vary by location, it’s conceivable you could get into a brand-new 2027 Solterra for under 50 grand, depending on location, and that’s before any price negotiation takes place.

Three trims to choose from

The 2027 Solterra will be available in three trims, all of which are cheaper than their 2026 equivalents.

Estimated starting prices are as follows:

  • Touring – $51,152 (MSRP of $47,995)
  • Limited – $53,152 (MSRP of $49,995)
  • Premier – $57,152 (MSRP of $53,995)
