Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada has announced the price of the 2027 Eclipse Sportback, the crossover that brings electric vehicles back into the automaker’s lineup.

The 2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $48,998. The MSRP doesn’t include various fees and levies, which typically add a few thousand to the selling price.

The 2027 Eclipse Sportback is offered in a single trim, but there is a Technology Package available, which increases the MSRP to $54,098.

The Eclipse Sportback is based on the Nissan Leaf and doesn’t venture far from the Leaf’s general shape, save for some cosmetic visual differences.

The Mitsubishi gets a 75-kWh capacity lithium-ion battery that gives it an estimated driving range of up to 454 kilometres. The EV’s powertrain has 214 hp and 261 lb.-ft. of torque.

Well-equipped EV

Mitsubishi’s decision to offer the Eclipse Sportback in a single trim means the vehicle is relatively well-equipped.

The Tech Package adds:

  • Fixed Panoramic Roof with e-dimming Sunshade
  • Bose 10-speaker premium sound
  • Hands-free power liftgate
