A fourth Chinese automotive brand has opened a Canadian website.
Geely Auto Canada’s website appears to have opened Friday, Oct. 2.
The other three Chinese automakers with Canadian web presences include Dongfeng, BYD, and Omoda and Jaecoo. Omoda and Jaecoo are two brands operating together.
In the case of the Geely Auto Canada, the company has its own standalone website at geely.ca, similarly to Dongfeng Canada’s website, while BYD and Omoda and Jaecoo have Canadian web pages on their global websites.
What does Geely Canada’s website say?
As is the case with the other three Chinese auto brands, Geely Auto Canada’s website basically says vehicles are coming soon, but doesn’t offer which models or where they will be available.
“Backed by extensive global engineering, research and manufacturing capabilities, Geely brings decades of automotive experience to Canada, with vehicles designed around what matters most: reliability, innovation and exceptional value,” the website said.
“Our Canadian journey is coming soon, with a growing dealer network planned for key markets across the country.”
Geely already has some presence in Canada
While the Geely brand is new to Canada, the company does have some presence in Canada already.
Geely is owned by Geely Holding, the company that also owns Swedish automotive brands Volvo and Polestar and British automaker Lotus.
