Aston Martin Valen limited to 150 cars worldwide

The automaker calls the V12-powered car the most powerful front-engined production car in the world.

Aston Martin has revealed a new limited-edition supercar, the V12-powered Valen.

The automaker calls it the most powerful front-engined production car in the world.

The Valen’s twin-turbo 5.2-litre V12 produces 838 hp (850 PS) and 737 lb.-ft. (1,000 Nm) of torque.

That’s a slight increase compared to the car the Valen is based on, the Vanquish, Aston Martin’s flagship V12 car, which has 823 hp and 737 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Valen’s engine is mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission, which uses race-derived shift strategies that were developed for the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 race program.

Aston Martin said the Valen has a targeted zero to 60 mph sprint time of three seconds and the top speed is electronically limited at 214 mph.

The Valen follows the Valiant as an ultra-rare creation from Aston Martin.

The latest car was created by the automaker’s bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin, and only 150 will be produced worldwide.

Lower weight, new hardware

Aston Martin said the car is built on its existing V12 platform; however, the automaker was able to shave as much as 110 kilograms of weight by using motorsports-derived materials and lightweight options.

This includes the use of carbon fibre, aluminum, titanium and magnesium.

An optional lightweight pack adds machined-from-solid aluminum suspension arms, knuckles and titanium chassis bolts for a savings of 16.9 kilograms.

The car rides on lightweight 21-inch magnesium wheels wearing Pirelli P Zero R tires. It also has P Zero Winter 2 tires.

The tires use Pirell’s Cyber Tyre technology, a hardware-software solution that shares real-time tire data with the vehicle’s dynamic control systems. This allows the car’s electronic stability program (ESP), anti-lock brakes (ABS) and traction control system to continuously adapt for optimal control and safety.

Aston Martin said adjustments to the car’s ESP, dampers, steering, cambers and braking system give the car a unique dynamic signature.

Design

The car doesn’t look like other Aston Martins, and that’s by design.

“Valen gave us the opportunity to explore and express more extreme emotions through a new form language and surface treatment,” said Marek Reichman, the company’s chief creative officer, in a news release.

“As such, Valen is a significant departure from what has gone before; sharply sculpted lines to reflect the aggressive dynamics, an attacking stance that emphasizes the front-engine rear-drive layout and a bespoke interior design that creates a more sporting cockpit environment. Valen is a provocative front-engined supercar exuding increased potency and sporting intent, yet still celebrating the elevated luxury, meticulous detailing and unmistakable design signatures expected of a flagship Aston Martin.”

Availability

Customer deliveries of the Aston Martin Valen are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
