BMW’s updated 7 Series luxury sedan now ready for Canadian buyers

The 2027 7 Series is available as the gasoline-burning 740 xDrive M Sport Edition and the electric i7 60 xDrive. More versions will arrive later.

BMW’s refreshed 7 Series, the automaker’s flagship sedan, is now available to order in Canada.

The online configurator has opened on the BMW Canada website, revealing the starting prices for the 2027 model year of the 7 Series.

The updated 2027 luxury sedan is available as the gasoline-burning 740 xDrive M Sport Edition and the electric i7 60 xDrive.

A plug-in hybrid 750e xDrive is expected to arrive sometime in early 2027 and a V8-powered M Performance model some time after that.

Canadian prices

The starting Canadian prices for the two 2027 7 Series models currently available, as advertised on the BMW Canada website, are:

  • 740 – $169,830 (MSRP of $154,500 plus fees, levies and luxury tax)
  • i7 60 – $171,030 (MSRP of $155,500 plus fees, levies and luxury tax)

Powertrain details

The 2027 BMW 740 xDrive is powered by a 3-litre inline-six cylinder engine with 394 hp and 428 lb.-ft. of torque. Zero to 100 km/h is said to arrive in 5.1 seconds.

The 2027 BMW i7 60 has an electric powertrain with 536 hp and 549 lb.-ft. of torque. Zero to 100 km/h is said to arrive in 4.8 seconds.

A 115.5-kWh battery supplies energy to the dual-motor powertrain, giving the electric car an EPA-estimated driving range of 560 kilometres.
