The Jeep brand is making sure it has a fulsome lineup of off-road-capable SUVs.

Fresh off unveiling new Trailhawk and Overland trims for the 2027 Grand Cherokee, Jeep has teased a new Trailhawk version for the Grand Cherokee’s smaller sibling, the Cherokee.

The Jeep Cherokee was fully redesigned for the 2026 model year and appears primed to pick up the Trailhawk trim soon, likely for the 2027 model year. The 2026 Cherokee already has an Overland trim available.

What is the Trailhawk trim?

Jeep uses the Trailhawk name for off-road-ready trim levels, which often have features such as a raised ride, improved underbody protection, all-terrain tires and more aggressive styling.

In the teaser image, we see red tow hooks prominently displayed in the front bumper.

Jeep said more information on the Cherokee Trailhawk will be released later.
