Ferrari has created a new option for those drivers who don’t find its Purosangue crossover sport utility vehicle sporty enough.
The automaker announced a new and exclusive Handling Speciale configuration for its first four-door, four-seat vehicle.

What’s special about Handling Speciale?
The new configuration was created to provide an even sportier driving experience, Ferrari said, by sharpening the vehicle’s mechanical and electronic responses, all without compromising the SUV’s versatility.
Ferrari recalibrated the active suspension to reduce body movements by 10 per cent.
The automaker said this makes the Purosangue react more directly to driver inputs and enhance the sensation of control through corners and rapid changes of direction.

The transmission’s shift strategies were modified to offer quicker response times and what Ferrari said are more decisive gear changes, particularly in the Race and ESC off driving modes. Ferrari said the system prioritizes a sharper sensation of thrust.
In manual mode, the shifts are said to be sportier at engine speeds above 5,500 rpm.
In-cabin sound was optimized as well, offering a more pronounced startup and acceleration sound.

Exclusive visual elements
The Purosangue with the Handling Speciale configuration also gets a few exclusive visual elements.
The SUV gets unique wheels with a diamond-cut finish, carbon-fibre side shields, matte black exhaust tips, black rear Prancing Horse emblem, and a satin-finished Ferrari script and interior plaque identifying the configuration.

Powertrain
The Ferrari Purosangue is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine that spins up to 8,250 rpm, mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch F1 DCT transmission.
The motor produces 715 hp (725 CV) and 528 lb.-ft. (716 Nm) of torque.
