Porsche is known for its high-end sports cars but its SUVs handily outsell its cars.

For the latest vehicle model, the automaker has married the versatility of its SUVs and sportiness of its cars to create the Cayenne Coupé Electric.

The new electric Cayenne Coupé arrives not long after the November 2025 launch of the regular electric Cayenne SUV.

The new “coupe” version with a sloping roofline has the same three model designations available at launch as the regular SUV version – those are the base model, the S and the Turbo.

Coupe more aerodynamic

The new coupe body style gives the Cayenne EV a more dynamic driving experience.

Porsche said the coupe is 24 millimetres lower than the regular version and has a drag coefficient of 0.23 Cd, an improvement compared to the SUV’s 0.25 Cd.

A Porsche Active Aerodynamics system with cooling-air flaps and an adaptive spoiler optimizes efficiency, downforce and cooling, Porsche said.

The Turbo model also gets active side aeroblades to reduce drag. The SUV Turbo also has that.

Three versions to choose from

The Cayenne Coupé Electric is available in three powertrain variants.

The three variants, including their performance specs, include:

  • Cayenne Coupé Electric – 435 hp, 616 lb.-ft. of torque, zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h
  • Cayenne S Coupé Electric – 657 hp, 797 lb.-ft., zero to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h
  • Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric – 1,139 hp, 1,106 lb.-ft., zero to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h

Coupe gives up space

At 4,985 millimetres long and 1,980 millimetres wide, the coupe is the same length and width as the SUV.

It is lower and has a sloping roofline, so it gives up some cargo space.

The coupe gets a load volume of 534 to 1,347 litres compared to the SUV’s 781 to 1,588 litres. The frunk adds another 90 litres of space, the same as in the SUV version.

The rear area can be optioned with two seats or in 2+1 configuration.

More standard equipment

The coupe picks up some additional standard features.

It gets the SUV’s Porsche Drive Experience with a fully digital driver-oriented cockpit, including an optional head-up display.

The interior mixes digital and analogue controls and the digital interfaces can be customized with various widgets, themes and third-party apps.

The vehicle’s panoramic glass roof has an optional variable light control, which electronically switches a liquid crystal film.

The coupe also has the Sport Chrono Package and an available coupe-specific Lightweight Sport Package, which can reduce the vehicle’s weight by up to 17.6 kilograms.
