Europeans will soon have access to a funky, small electric vehicle that Canadians can only wish they had.
Nissan has unveiled an all-new, all-electric Juke that is headed for Europe.
It will be assembled in Sunderland, U.K.

Why Europe and not us?
It’s no surprise that Europeans will get access to the small EV. For starters, Nissan has sold 1.5 million Jukes in Europe since 2010. Small cars are an important segment in Europe.
Secondly, the EV market share is considerably higher in Europe than in North America, and Nissan said its own EV sales are growing in the market.
Europeans also have access to the Nissan Micra, a micro-sized EV. They also have the Leaf and Ariya that are sold in Canada.
The company is also expanding its lineup of vehicles offering the company’s e-Power hybrid powertrains.

“Europe is central to Nissan’s electrification strategy, and we remain firmly committed to a fully electric future,” said Massimiliano Messina, chairman, Nissan AMIEO, in a news release. AMIEO stands for Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania.
“With a rapidly expanding EV line-up, we are bringing greater choice and innovation to every segment, powered by our strong design, engineering and manufacturing footprint in the region. Together, this next generation of vehicles will accelerate our transition to zero-emission mobility.”
The third-generation Nissan Juke will launch in Europe in the spring of 2027.
The automaker didn’t provide the 2027 Juke’s performance specs.
