
Nissan is giving potential Ariya buyers more for less.
The automaker refreshed the design of the all-electric crossover SUV and gave it a few new features for the 2027 model year while also lowering its prices in Canada.
The 2027 Nissan Ariya gets a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $48,998, which is $3,900 cheaper than the base 2026 model.
The Ariya lineup is also streamlined for 2027, coming down to just three trims, those being SV FWD, SV+ AWD and Platinum AWD.
For 2026, Nissan Canada offered the Ariya in five grade levels, with the SV FWD being the base model and the Platinum (then called Platinum + e-4ORCE) being the top-of-the-line model.
The price of the Platinum trim is dropping by $1,400 for the 2027 model year.
Canadian prices
Nissan Canada provided the estimated prices of the 2027 Ariya, including fees and levies.
They are as follows:
- SV FWD – $52,116 (MSRP of $48,998 plus fees and levies)
- SV+ AWD – $56,116 (MSRP of $52,998)
- Platinum AWD – $62,116 (MSRP of $58,998)
Fees, levies and selling price may vary by location.
Nissan Ariya vehicles that sell for a total price of less than $50,000, including dealer fees and levies, may be eligible for Canada’s Electric Vehicle Affordability Program, which currently offers a rebate of up to $5,000 ($4,000 in 2027) for the purchase or lease of eligible electric vehicles.
2027 Nissan Ariya powertrain choices
The front-wheel-drive version gets a single-motor powertrain with 214 hp and 221 lb.-ft. of torque. Power comes courtesy of a a 66-kWh capacity battery (63 kWh usable capacity).
Vehicles with the e-4ORCE all-wheel drive get an output of 389 hp and 442 lb.-ft. of torque, with a battery capacity of 91 kWh (87 kWh usable).

Updated design
The 2027 Ariya gets a new body colour front panel with a redesigned V signature element up front.
It rides on newly designed 19- and 20-inch wheels made of aluminum and resin.
Exterior colour options gain a new Plasma Green colour, giving the Ariya a new range of monotone and two-tone body colours.
The centre console gets a redesign as well, now offering up to 3.2 litres of storage space.

New technology
The redesigned centre console picks up the latest-gen 15W wireless phone charger.
Other technology updates include the latest generation of NissanConnect with Google built-in. This gives the Ariya an in-car route planner by Google Maps. Drivers can say: “Hey Google, navigate to (and name destination)” and the system will create a route with the most efficient charging spots along the way.
The vehicle also preconditions the battery as you approach the charging station to ensure you get the quickest charge you can.
The MyNissan Canada app lets you monitor battery level, manage charging sessions, adjust climate settings, monitor tire pressure and more.
Vehicle-to-Load now available
The 2027 Ariya has an AC J1772 charge connector, which allows for bidirectional Level 2 charging speeds of 7 kW, with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) available.
For Level 3 charging, the SUV has a new native North American Charging Standard (NACS) charge port, which supports charge speeds up to 130 kW.
The MyNissan app also allows drivers to find charging stations, see real-time charger availability and pay for charging sessions at public chargers that are part of the Nissan Energy Charge Network.

Improved ride comfort
Nissan said the updated Ariya gets an improved ride for 2027. The automaker said the suspension tuning was updated for improved stability, reduced vibrations and a smoother ride.
The 2027 Ariya also features numerous advanced driver assistance and safety features.
