Chevrolet has improved its two lowest-priced vehicles offered in Canada.
The automaker has updated the Trax and Trailblazer subcompact SUVs for the 2027 model year.
Both updated models should be available in Canada in the spring of 2027. Canadian prices haven’t been announced.

What’s new on both models?
The electrical and software architecture is upgraded on both vehicles, which enables more than 20 standard safety and driver assistance systems.
These new standard safety features include Reverse Automatic Braking, Safety Seat Alert, Side Bicyclist Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Front Park Assist, Rear Seat Belt Indicator, and Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking.
The Storm Sky Grey colour, which is all-new to Chevrolet, is debuting on both models.

What’s new on the Trax?
Chevrolet is streamlining the trim levels of the Trax, down to three. They are LT, RS and ACTIV. Each trim has its own distinct trim-level details, providing a different character for each.
All Trax models get a new grille, new wheel designs, all-LED taillights and a redesigned liftgate for a more premium look.
The LT model gets wheels with a higher-contrast finish, the RS gets 19-inch wheels for a sportier look, and the ACTIV model maintains an adventure-ready esthetic.

On the inside, Chevrolet fitted the Trax with hexagonal side vents.
A power liftgate is also now available.

What’s new on the Trailblazer?
The Trailblazer is Chevrolet’s second-cheapest vehicle, second only to the Trax. It too is offered in three trim levels, LT, RS and the newly available Z71.
The Z71 is Chevy’s entry-level model with all-wheel drive.
The Z71 trim on the Trailblazer gives the SUV standard all-wheel drive, an off-road-tuned suspension, underbody skid plate and sport-terrain tires.

It also gets debossed front-row headrests and a new Jet Black and Storm Sky Gray interior with orange accents.
On the inside, the updated Trailblazer gets new column-mounted shifter, which allowed engineers to redesign the centre console with more flexible storage space, including cup holders that can be retracted to offer extra open storage space.
The 2027 Trailblazer is also getting HVAC vents for the rear.
Chevrolet is also making the AutoSense power liftgate available for the 2027 Trailblazer.

What Canadians need to know
“Trax and Trailblazer have brought more choice to Canada’s small SUV market, with more than 80,000 vehicles delivered since their debut three years ago, helping support GM’s No. 1 position in the segment,” said Andrew Barker, brand director, Chevrolet Canada, in a news release.
“Chevrolet continues to invest in small SUVs, and these updates make Trax and Trailblazer even more compelling with more standard safety, improved technology and a refreshed design.”
