
Kia Canada is introducing a sporty model to its EV4 electric sedan range.
The new EV4 GT is launching for the 2027 model year and offers a sportier and more powerful variant to one of Canada’s lowest priced electric vehicles.
The 2027 Kia EV4 GT has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $58,595. Various fees and levies raise the price to about $61,344, according to Kia Canada.
The base model of the 2027 EV4 compact electric sedan, with a standard-range battery, has a starting MSRP of $39,595, while the cheapest version with the long-range battery has a starting MSRP of $43,595.
What is the EV4 GT?
The EV4 GT uses the same 81.4-kWh battery as other long-range EV4 models, but adds a more powerful all-wheel-drive powertrain.
The GT gets has a power output of 288 hp and 345 lb.-ft. of torque.
As a comparison, non-GT all-wheel-drive models get outputs of 262 hp and 284 lb.-ft. of torque.
Kia estimates the GT will travel up to 431 kilometres on a full charge.
Unique features of the GT
The EV4 GT rides on 20-inch alloy wheels and has brake calipers with neon accents.
On the interior, the car has suede and synthetic leather seats, a themed gauge cluster and a steering wheel-mounted GT button, which boosts performance.
Furthermore, the car gets a GT-exclusive head-up display.
The 2027 EV4 GT is available in five exterior colours. Those are: Snow White Pearl, Shale Grey, Aurora Black, Magma Red and Yacht Blue.
The EV4 GT is available as a factory order now. It can be ordered at EV-certified Kia dealerships in Canada.
