Are high gas prices keeping you feeling down? Maybe it’s time to consider an electric vehicle.

Several automakers are offering big discounts on their brand-new electric vehicles this month.

These July 2026 discounts are so sweet that once you include Canada’s EV rebate, these vehicles can be purchased for below $41,000 (before tax).

The prices listed in this article include the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) plus estimated fees and levies. Fees, levies and selling price may vary by location.

We also include the price with the Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) rebate. Eligible vehicles purchases receive an after-tax rebate of up to $5,000, equivalent to a before-tax discount of $4,425 in provinces with a sales tax rate of 13 per cent. As this blog is based in Ontario, where sales tax is 13 per cent, we’ll use the $4,425 rate to calculate the final starting advertised purchase price with the EVAP rebate.

Let’s begin.
