About a week after BMW unveiled its next generation X5, the model has become available for Canadian buyers to configure.
The online configurator for the 2027 X5 opened on the BMW Canada website.
The gasoline-burning X5 was revealed in conjunction with the electric iX5; however, the online configurator, as of July 8, is only open on the gas model.
The X5 is currently available with a single powertrain as the X5 40 xDrive. The midsize Bimmer SUV is powered by an updated B58 engine, a 3-litre inline six-cylinder engine, that produces 394 hp and 428 lb.-ft. of torque.
The powertrain receives 48V mild-hybrid support to reduce fuel consumption.
Zero to 100 km/h is reported to arrive in 5.3 seconds.

Vancouver-inspired colour
The X5 sold in Canada is also available with a colour inspired by a West Coast city.
The model has the Vancouver Green Metallic option, which is available at no additional cost.
Canadian price
The 2027 X5 has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $95,500. That’s up slightly from the outgoing model’s MSRP of $92,500. The MSRP doesn’t include various fees, levies or luxury tax. Luxury tax is applied to light duty vehicles with a price tag of more than $100,000.
Full model details are available on the BMW Canada website.
