The Jeep Wagoneer S is joining the growing ranks of electric vehicles taking a sabbatical in Canada.
The premium electric SUV will skip the 2026 model year. Other EVs that were recently announced to skip 2026 include the Volkswagen ID. Buzz and Hyundai Ioniq 6.
“The Jeep brand is pacing production of the all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S to support future improvements in battery performance, software and capability,” Stellantis told this publication via email.
“As such, the Jeep brand will forgo a 2026 model-year designation in North America as we prepare to debut the 2027 model year Jeep Wagoneer S, which will introduce full compatibility with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging port to expand customer access to growing fast-charging networks.”
The Wagoneer S is a midsize electric SUV with a 4×4 powertrain with up to 600 hp and 617 lb.-ft. of torque, and an estimated driving range of 473 kilometres.

Discount on 2025 Wagoneer S
The automaker said the 2025 Wagoneer S remains available at Canadian Jeep dealers for purchase and lease without interruption.
The Jeep Canada website is advertising an $8,000 discount on 2025 Wagoneer S models, which knocks the starting price down to $77,790.
The offer is advertised until April 30, although this offer had been extended from previous months.
You can build yours on the Jeep Canada website.
Recon launch
The Jeep Wagoneer S is taking a gap year the same year the automaker launched the Recon, an off-road electric SUV.
The 2026 Jeep Recon starts at $87,790 in Canada.
