The sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 is now rolling off its Ontario assembly line.
The automaker announced the start of production of the sixth-generation RAV4 compact SUV at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada in Woodstock on Jan. 23.
“Being selected to build the all-new sixth-generation RAV4 reflects the trust that Toyota Motor Corporation has in our world-class team members, our commitment to quality, and our customer focus,” TMMC president Tim Hollander said in a news release.
“TMMC has been producing high-tech electrified vehicles – including the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, the Lexus NX Hybrid and the Lexus RX Hybrid – for almost a decade. Toyota has invested over $1.1 billion in this all-new RAV4, bringing our total investment in Canada to more than $12 billion. This is a significant demonstration of Toyota’s confidence in our people, our plants, and our manufacturing ecosystem. It also reflects our long-term commitment to Canada and the communities where we operate.”

The Ontario facility has produced more than four million RAV4s since assembly of the compact SUV began there in 2009.
TMMC assembled more than 535,000 vehicles in 2025. It’s on pace to assemble its 12-millionth vehicle this year since opening in 1988.
It employs 8,500 people at facilities in Cambridge and Woodstock.
