Bugatti, known for creating some of the most exclusive and incredibly expensive hypercars, has unveiled something really limited.

The automaker unveiled the Brouillard, of which only one will be made.

The car is the inaugural creation of the French automaker’s new Solitaire bespoke program, which will create exclusive one-of-one vehicles that are meant to push the boundaries of personalization.

The Brouillard is powered by the now-discontinued Chiron’s quad-turbo W16 engine with 1,578 hp.

The car is named after company founder Ettore Bugatti’s horse and celebrates his love of horses, Bugatti said.

Brouillard is said to have been the embodiment of everything Ettore admired: speed, beauty and unparalleled grace.

The car features custom-woven fabrics sourced from Paris, tartan patterns and green-tinted carbon fibre paired with machined aluminum components.

The seats are customized and shaped to the owner’s preference and finished in a unique leather patch layout.

The gear shifter is made from a single block of aluminum and features a glass insert with a miniature hand-crafted sculpture of the horse for which the car is named.

The automaker said the buyer who commissioned the car is a Bugatti car collector, both old and new, a collector of Carlo Bugatti furniture and a collector of Rembrandt Bugatti sculptures.

Programme Solitaire

The new Programme Solitaire was inspired by Bugatti’s coachbuilding roots. It will create a maximum of two cars per year.

The company said the commissions will use existing Bugatti powertrains and chassis and focus on bespoke bodywork and interior details.
