Canadians won’t have to wait until this winter’s auto show season to get a first look at the latest version of Mercedes-Benz flagship sedan.

The updated 2027 S-Class has been placed on display inside a Holt Renfrew store in Toronto.

Mercedes-Benz Canada opened a dedicated space called Mercedes-Benz Studio Toronto inside Holt Renfrew’s flagship Bloor Street store earlier this summer.

The space brings together the luxury car brand and a high-end fashion retailer under one roof.

Now, the company gave the newest S-Class luxury sedan its public Canadian debut inside the studio. It’s part of an exhibit celebrating the brand’s 140th anniversary that will be there through to the end of October, Mercedes-Benz Canada announced Sept. 4.

Alongside the S-Class is the replica of the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, the world’s first automobile, which was invented in 1886.

“For 140 years, Mercedes-Benz has shaped the future of mobility through a relentless commitment to innovation, design, and craftsmanship,” said Alex Matthews, vice president, digital, PR and marketing, Mercedes-Benz Canada, in a news release.

“This latest evolution of Mercedes-Benz Studio Toronto offers guests a new way to explore that legacy, from the world’s first automobile to the new S-Class – a car which stands at the pinnacle of that history, showcasing the innovation, comfort, and sophistication that continue to set the benchmark today.”

Evolving space

Mercedes-Benz said the studio will go through multiple evolution through the year, with each one pairing a new fashion and automobile curation.

The latest display, called 140 Years of Innovation, is on display through September and October.

More information on the new studio is available on the Mercedes-Benz Canada website.
