The Audi Nuvolari, the German automaker’s successor to the R8, has been making the public display rounds ahead of it going on sale.

The Nuvolari is an Audi supercar based on the Lamborghini Temerario. It is limited to just 499 cars worldwide.

The Nuvolari is powered by a 4-litre biturbo V8 engine that can spin up to 10,000 rpm, and produces 789 hp.

Working in conjunction with the V8 are a trio of axial flux electric motors, each one producing 110 kW (148 hp). Powering the e-motors is a lithium-ion battery with a gross capacity of 7.3 kWh.

In total, the hybrid system produces 986 hp (1,001 PS).

North American debut in Monterey

The car, in prototype form, was revealed in June in France.

It then made its track debut during the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix.

After that, the car made its North America debut at Monterey Car Week in California in August.

The Audi Nuvolari is expected to go on sale in late 2026 with first customer deliveries anticipated in early 2027.
