The Jeep brand is set to unveil an evolved version of its seven-slot grille and it will debut on a vehicle that is not currently sold in Canada.
The automaker said the new grille will launch on the new Jeep Avenger.
The current Avenger is a small SUV with available electric, hybrid and gasoline powertrains that is sold in Europe.
While the new Avenger may not arrive in Canada, the model’s updated grille is likely to appear in other future vehicles.
The automaker said its signature seven-slot grille was introduced on the first full-production civilian Jeep, the CJ-2A, in 1945.

While the grille has evolved over the years, the seven slots have remained a signature of Jeep vehicles.
“Now, a bold new vision is on the way, heralding the next step in Jeep capability and style. With the new Avenger, something new is taking shape – an evolution of the legendary seven-slots grille designed to light up every adventure and make compact freedom shine,” the automaker said in a news release teasing the new Avenger and grille.
