Genesis Canada has begun taking pre-orders for the all-new GV60 Magma, the company announced April 24.

The electric SUV is the first vehicle from the company’s newly launched high-performance Magma brand.

“The GV60 Magma is a landmark vehicle for Genesis and for the Canadian luxury market,” said Eric Marshall, director of Genesis Canada, in a news release. “As the first Magma model to reach Genesis guests, GV60 Magma reinforces our commitment to bringing meaningful, performance-driven products to Canadians while continuing to push the boundaries of what luxury performance can look like in an electric vehicle.”

About GV60 Magma

The GV60 Magma builds on the GV60 and ups the performance level of the luxury crossover SUV.

It has dual-motor powertrain with 609 hp and 546 lb.-ft. of torque.

When Boost Mode is activated, power is boosted for up to 15 seconds to 650 hp and 583 lb.-ft. of torque.

The GV60 Magma has a top speed of 264 km/h.

Genesis said the GV60 Magma will accelerate from zero to 200 km/h in 10.9 seconds with launch control.

Canadian market details

Genesis Canada did not provide pricing. The 2027 GV60 Magma is expected to arrive later this year and Canadian prices will be announced at a future date.
