BMW Group has unveiled a new logo for its BMW Alpina brand.
The automaker acquired Alpina in January 2026, renamed it BMW Alpina, and brought it under under the BMW Group umbrella.
Now, the automaker has unveiled a new heritage-inspired emblem for the brand.
Alpina formed in 1965 in Germany, initially as BMW tuner, and gained car manufacturer status in 1983. Cars from that time were branded Alpina, not BMW, though they were still sold through BMW dealerships.
Now, the brand is part of the BMW Group.
The automaker said BMW Alpina vehicles will be manufactured at BMW Group’s plants.
New logo
The BMW Alpina brand gets a new logo that marries Alpina’s heritage with modern elements.
The throttle body and crankshaft are still there, but the emblem now has clearer linework. It’s also transparent for a more contemporary look.
Future Alpina vehicles
The automaker said new BMW Alpina vehicles will be made at select plants that are equipped to meet the brand’s high standards.
These vehicles will have a greater range of personalization options for customers.
All BMW Alpina vehicles will have high quality leather interiors, BMW said, and a comprehensive range of colours and materials for customers to choose from.
Lastly, the automaker said future BMW Alpina vehicles will combine high-speed performance with high levels of comfort, with a focus on long-distance journeying.
