Canadian prices for the next-generation Nissan Sentra have been announced, and the compact sedan is increasing in price, but not by much.
The 2026 Nissan Sentra has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $25,268. Once fees and levies are tacked on, that brings the car’s starting purchase price to $27,887.
Depending on how you look at it, the starting MSRP is increasing by $1,370 or $695.
The outgoing Sentra, in S trim with a six-speed manual transmission, had an MSRP that was $1,370 cheaper.
The new Sentra, however, no longer offers a manual transmission, as all versions feature an Xtronic continuously variable transmission.
If you were to compare the 2026 Sentra’s starting price to the lowest priced version of the 2025 model with an automatic transmission, then the price difference narrows to $695.
Nissan Canada said four per cent of Canadian Sentra buyers opted for the stick shift.

The new Sentra ups the comfort and tech features.
It now includes dual 12.3-inch displays, an Intelligent Digital Around View monitor with moving object detection, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, front and rear Zero Gravity seats, capacitive-touch HVAC controls, and intelligent forward collision warning.
Available features include a drive mode selector, which includes Sport mode on SV and SR grades, 64-colour customizable ambient lighting, ProPilot Assist, blind-spot intervention, three USB-S charge ports, wireless charging dock and more.
The SR trim gets gloss-black elements for a sporty look, a V-motion grille, side sills, rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The new Sentra maintains the outgoing car’s 2-litre four-cylinder engine with 149 hp and 146 lb.-ft. of torque with standard idle start-stop.
Fuel economy is rated at 7.9/6.1/7.1 L/100 km (city/highway/combined).
