BMW is set to release a higher performance version of its M2 coupe.
For now, the automaker has given us a glimpse of the BMW M2 CS, releasing images on May 23, after the car’s design was unveiled at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025 in Italy.
BMW provided no performance specs for the M2, saying all technical data will be unveiled on May 28.
The regular BMW M2 is powered by a twin-turbo inline six producing 473 hp. It is the same engine that powers the M3/M4 twins.
The M2 has rear-wheel drive and is available with a manual or automatic transmission.
Just for some context, we’ll provide some power figures for the higher-performance versions of the M4 coupe. That car is also available as the M4 Competition Coupe, which has 523 hp, and the M4 CS, which has 543 hp. The M4 CS has all-wheel drive and is available with an automatic only. Also for some added context, the M4 CS costs around $50,000 more than the regular M4.
While we don’t have any price information or performance specs for the M2 CS, for now we can just check out the photos.
