Genesis revealed another concept vehicle, this time in the form of an SUV that is meant to be both rugged and elegant.

The X Gran Equator Concept went on display at the 2025 New York International Auto Show. This follows closely after Genesis revealed a pair of concept vehicles, the X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible.

The X Gran Equator is not meant for production, but it showcases Genesis’ future design potential, the company said.

“The X Gran Equator Concept is an exercise in harmonizing contrasts – combining elegance with ruggedness, and the spirit of exploration with refined comfort,” said Luc Donckerwolke, chief creative officer of Genesis, in a news release. “It represents the orchestration of true off-road competence and uncompromising luxury, designed to enable the discovery of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes.”

The name was inspired by an Arabian horse named Equator, which is seen as a symbol of endurance, agility and refined power.

Furthermore, Genesis said the concept vehicle signals the brand’s expansion into lifestyle-oriented vehicles, balancing sophistication and versatility.
