Convertibles, perhaps not so practical in the Canadian winter, offer the enjoyment of open-air motoring, which can make them a blast through the hot summer months.
There aren’t many to choose from these days in Canada as most automakers have ditched this style of car, but there are a few to pick through still.
Here, we’ve got a list of 2025 model year convertible cars available in Canada at prices of less than $75,000.
The following article is neither a review nor a recommendation, it is simply a list of what’s available. Starting advertised price is the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP), plus fees and levies. Fees and levies may differ by location. Tax is extra. Dealers may set their own prices. Check with your local dealer for an exact price.
The list is ordered from most expensive to least expensive.
BMW 430i xDrive
Starting advertised price: $72,757 (MSRP of $69,500)
BMW has two cars on this list, the first of which is its 4 Series car (pictured up top), offering open-top motoring for up to four people. The 4 Series convertible is available in 430i trim, featuring a turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 255 hp and xDrive all-wheel drive, or the more powerful M440i, but that model’s priced well above $80,000. With the 430i, you get plenty of comfort features, including BMW’s Operating System 8.5 with navigation, sports seats, sport leather steering wheel, a curved display and more.

Like the 4 Series above, it can be had as a more powerful M40i model, but that version also gets you over $80,000. All Z4s have rear-wheel drive and the two-seat roadster combines sportiness, precision-tuned dynamics and luxury.

Mini Cooper Convertible

Mini’s convertible was redesigned recently and features a minimalist look intended for a fun-first experience. The top can be opened, closed or be somewhere in between with a sunroof mode. The base model has 161 hp, which won’t win you drag races but the car makes its key fun points in being lightweight and tossable around the corners. If you need more power, there are also the Cooper S and Cooper JCW versions.
