We likely can’t save the manuals forever.
They’re already slowly disappearing and when we completely transition to electric cars, the row-your-own-gear option will be dead (EVs don’t need transmissions).
But, let’s enjoy the stick shift while we can.
Here is a list of new cars in Canada that are still available with a manual transmission in 2025. We’ re keeping this list relatively mainstream so we’ve set the price threshold at $99,000, so nothing in the six-figures-plus category is listed here. Utility vehicles such as pickup trucks and SUVs are also excluded from this list.
The list is largely the same as in the United States but with some slight differences. For example, the Nissan Sentra is available with a manual transmission in Canada but not in the U.S., while the Nissan Versa has an available stick shift in the U.S. but not in Canada.
The following article is neither a review nor a recommendation, it is simply a list of what’s available. Starting advertised price is the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP), plus fees and levies. Fees and levies may differ by province. Tax is extra. Dealers may set their own prices. Check with your local dealer for an exact price.
The list is in descending order, starting with the most expensive.
