AutoTrader reveals list of top searched vehicles in Canada in 2023

Top searched vehicles include Porsches, Corvettes and luxury brands, but No. 1 is the same as the top seller, the Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 seems to be on a lot of Canadians’ wish-list.

The pickup truck was the top searched vehicle on the AutoTrader website in 2023. It also happens to be Canada’s best selling vehicle of the year.

AutoTrader released a list of the 10 most searched vehicles on its online marketplace, which is full luxury and sports cars, but the F-150 reigns supreme.

The top searched vehicles of 2023 are:

  1. Ford F-150
  2. Porsche 911
  3. Honda Civic
  4. BMW 3 Series
  5. Toyota RAV4
  6. Ford Mustang
  7. Mercedes-Benz C-Class
  8. Mercedes-Benz E-Class
  9. Chevrolet Corvette
  10. Dodge Ram 1500

In comparison, these are the top sold vehicles, according to AutoTrader:

  1. Ford F-150
  2. Dodge Ram 1500
  3. Ford Escape
  4. Chevrolet Silverado 1500
  5. Honda CR-V
  6. GMC Sierra 1500
  7. Toyota RAV4
  8. Nissan Rogue
  9. Jeep Wrangler
  10. Honda Civic

“This year, we see vehicle buyers searching aspirationally, but ultimately opting for more practical purchases, which could suggest Canadians are maintaining an optimistic outlook, but prioritizing reliability and utility in a turbulent year,” said Ian MacDonald, AutoTrader chief marketing officer, in a Dec. 11 news release.
