Nissan is giving its Z sports car some performance and visual tweaks for the 2027 model year, and the updated models are expected to arrive in Canada this summer.

However, Canadians who don’t want to wait ’til summer can get the current model and with a sweet discount to boot.

Nissan Canada is offering a $5,000 discount on the 2026 model year Z cars. The discount is applied on all three trims of the Z, the Sport, Performance and Nismo models.

The Nissan Canada website doesn’t indicate how long the discount offer is available for.

According to the online configurator on the Nissan Canada website, once fees and levies and the $5,000 discount are applied, the starting price of each trim is:

• Sport – $48,962
• Performance – $59,962
• Nismo – $73,962

About the Nissan Z

The Nissan Z is a lightweight sports car powered by a twin-turbo 3-litre V6 engine with 400 hp (420 hp in the Nismo model) and it has rear-wheel drive.

The Sport and Performance models can be had with a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic transmission while the Nismo is only available with the automatic.

Upcoming Z

One of the biggest changes arriving with the 2027 Z is that the Nismo will gain the stick-shift option.
