Volkswagen is promising an all-new Atlas is around the corner.

The midsize SUV is expected to enter its next generation for the 2027 model year and the automaker has teased a bit of information about it ahead of its upcoming reveal in early April.

“Featuring a completely redesigned interior, the all-new 2027 Volkswagen Atlas is more premium and more modern, yet unmistakably Atlas,” the automaker said in a news release teasing the updated SUV.

The automaker also offered a bit of information about the updated SUV’s exterior.

“It will feature strong, muscular proportions and sleeker exterior surfacing,” Volkswagen said.

The automaker also brought prototypes of the upcoming Atlas to a frozen lake in Québec for a bit of winter testing.

The 2027 Atlas will be fully revealed during the New York International Auto Show, which runs April 3 to 12.
