The refreshed 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has arrived in Canada with a starting price that’s $500 lower than originally planned.
When the updated plug-in hybrid compact three-row SUV was unveiled in mid-January, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada said it would have a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $50,498.
Well, it turns out the starting MSRP is $49,998.
The MSRP doesn’t include various fees and levies, which add a few thousand dollars to the purchase price.

What’s new?
The refreshed Outlander PHEV gets exterior design tweaks, updates to the interior, including more standard technology and improvements to the ride handling.
All trims now come standard with a Yamaha audio system, and there’s a new 12.3-inch centre display.
The plug-in hybrid powertrain’s battery has been increased by 18 per cent to a capacity of 22.7 kWh, giving the SUV greater all-electric range, now estimated at 72 kilometres, versus 61 kilometres on the 2025 version.
Electric and gasoline-combined fuel consumption is improved to 3.2 Le/100 km from 3.6 Le/100 km.
And, gasoline-only fuel efficiency is also improved to (city/highway/combined) 8.6/8.6/8.6 L/100 km, from 9.2/8.7/9.0 L/100 km.
The Outlander PHEV was Canada’s top-selling plug-in hybrid in 2025.
