Members of Hyundai Auto Canada’s headquarters in Markham, Ont. and dealerships from across the wider York region took part in an overnight sleep-out to help fight youth homelessness in the region.
They participated in the annual 360°Experience challenge, which is organized by 360°kids. The overnight event took place Thursday, March 5 at the Community Safety Village in Stouffville when temperatures dipped below 0 C.
York region-based 360°kids has been supporting vulnerable youth across the region for 36 years.
Organizers say 360°kids supports 3,672 youth across York region through housing, education, employment, and health and well-being programs.
Hyundai Canada was the title sponsor of the 2026 360°Experience.
This year’s event raised $300,871, so far.
Hyundai Canada and York region dealerships raised more than $60,000 of that total.
Over five years of participation, Hyundai Canada raised more than $360,000 for the organization.
“As a proud participant in the overnight challenge for five straight years, it’s heartwarming to see the evolving supports and services from 360°kids and the critical work they continue to do in our community,” said Kirk Merrett, director of network planning, performance and customer experience at Hyundai Canada, in a news release.
“Providing young people with a safe place and the right support can help them regain stability and move forward with confidence. Supporting the next generation starts with the actions we take today.”
