BMW Alpina is marking the end of production of the Alpina XB7 with a special, limited-run version of the large SUV.
BMW announced the 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur will be limited to just 120 units in North America, including 12 for Canada.
The Alpina brand recently came under BMW ownership and was renamed BMW Alpina. The brand specializes on making BMWs sportier and more luxurious.
The 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $229,000. That doesn’t include various fees and levies nor Canada’s luxury tax, which is applied to light-duty vehicles that cost more than $100,000.
The special edition model is assembled at BMW’s Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina. Production of this model will begin in September and customer deliveries are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Alpina XB7 Manufaktur exterior
Alpina’s XB7 is based on the BMW X7.
The automaker said the Manufaktur model gets exclusive finishes, details and appointments that have never been offered in the XB7.
The special model gets two exclusive paint finishes, Frozen Alpina Green and Frozen Alpina Blue, both of which are new to the XB7. Exterior design elements are finished in gloss black.
The 23-inch Alpina Classic forged 20-spoke wheels are also gloss black.
Other trim pieces, including the grille, window surrounds air breathers, front Alpina logo, tailpipe finishers, are also gloss black.
The word “MANUFAKTUR” is laser-etched into each B-pillar.
An optional hitch is available. It gives the XB7 a towing capacity of 3,405 kilograms (7,506 pounds).

Alpina XB7 Manufaktur interior
On the inside, the SUV gets Tartufo Full Merino leather and is trimmed in Alpina Natural Walnut Anthracite.
“ALPINA” is etched in green and blue into each front headrest.
The black front floor mats have silver Alpina emblem pins and the trunk mat has a “MANUFAKTUR” wordmark.
The front console has a plaque that confirms the vehicle is one of 120.
The column-mounted transmission paddle shifters are finished in anodized black.

Luxury features
The XB7 Manufaktur gets second-row captain’s chairs and a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system.
Each vehicle also gets two handmade Alpina weekend bags made of brown Lavalina leather.
Powertrain
Each of the 120 SUVs is powered by a biturbo 4.4-litre V8, which is based on BMW’s S68 engine. It produces 631 hp and 590 lb.-ft. of torque.
The engine is mated with an eight-speed Alpina Switch-Tronic transmission and an integrated 48-volt starter-generator for mild hybrid support.
The automaker said the XB7 Manufaktur accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.

Air suspension and chassis features
The SUV also comes standard with a two-axle air suspension with Alpina-specific damper and kinematic tuning. The suspension can adjust ride height by 80 millimetres.
Below 30 km/h, ride height can be raised by 40 mm to clear obstacles.
At higher speeds, the SUV lowers automatically by 20 mm. In Sport+ mode, at speeds greater than 250 km/h, the ride lowers by 40 mm. This helps lower the centre of gravity and gives the SUV sharper dynamics, BMW said.
The XB7 also gets active roll stabilization with electromechanical anti-roll bars and stiffer rear axle bushings to minimize body roll. BMW said this doesn’t compromise the XB7’s ride quality.
Rear-axle steering offers up to 2.3 degrees of turning at low- and high-speeds. Drivers can adjust rear-axle steering with three selectable modes, Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
