Who says manuals are dead?
Certainly not automakers that build low-volume, high-engagement supercars and hypercars.
Below are five examples of limited-run exotic cars that save the manuals, and they’re all road legal in Canada. Just don’t expect to be able to buy one, even if you can afford to, because when we say these vehicles are low volume, we really mean low volume.
Enjoy the spectacle below.

Pagani Huayra Codalunga Speedster
The Pagani Huayra Codalunga Speedster was announced in July of 2025 and customer deliveries are happening this year.
The hypercar is powered by a Mercedes-AMG-sourced twin-turbo 6-litre V12 engine producing 852 hp and 811 lb.-ft. of torque, with all that power sent to the rear wheels.
Buyers have a choice of a seven-speed transverse automated manual transmission or a pure manual gearbox.
Only 10 of these vehicles are being made.
This unique offering is not a first for Pagani.
In 2024, the company created the Utopia Roadster, which also had a manual transmission.
Aston Martin Valiant
The Aston Martin Valiant was a low-volume custom car created by the automaker’s Q by Aston Martin bespoke program.
The car was following commissioned by two-time Formula 1 champion and Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team driver Fernando Alonso.
But the automaker didn’t just make one. Aston Martin made 38. One of those was delivered to a Canadian customer in early 2025.
It’s a track-focused car that is also road legal.
It is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine producing 734 hp, and has a six-speed manual transmission.
De Tomaso P72
In May 2025, De Tomaso Automobili unveiled the P72, a supercar inspired by the race cars of the 1960s.
The car is powered by a hand-assembled supercharged 5-litre V8 engine producing 700 hp and 605 lb.-ft. of torque.
Drivers handle their own gear changes via a six-speed manual transmission with short gear ratios.
Only 72 De Tomaso P72 cars were to be made and customer deliveries were expected to begin in late 2025.
Capricorn 01 Zagato
Capricorn, a German supplier of automotive, aerospace and medical components, partnered with Milan-based coachbuilder Zagato to create the Capricorn 01 Zagato hypercar.
The car was announced in October 2025 and production is expected to begin in the first half of this year.
The lightweight mid-engine sports car is powered by a Ford-sourced 5.2-litre supercharged V8 engine, which was modified and upgraded to spin up to 9,000 rpm and produce more than 900 PS (887 hp) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb.-ft.) of torque.
The driver has control of the gear changes via a gated dogleg five-speed manual transmission.
Donkervoort P24 RS
Donkervoort Automobielen, a family-owned automaker in the Netherlands, announced the P24 RS in February 2026.
The company plans to build just 150 of these and more than a third of them were already spoken for before Donkervoort publicly announced the car. Customer deliveries will begin in April.
The car is said to have a dry weight of just 780 kilograms (1,719 pounds), while its twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 engine produces 591 hp (600 Euro horses) and 590 lb.-ft. of torque (800 Nm). It’s the only supercar with more than 600 (Euro) horses with a weight of less than 1,000 kilograms.
The car uses a five-speed manual transmission, which the company said was chosen due to its low weight.
