Mini is celebrating its 1965 Monte Carly Rally victory with a special edition model inspired by the car driven to victory by racers Timo Mäkinen and Paul Easter.
The automaker unveiled the Mini 1965 Victory Edition.
In Canada, it will be exclusively available on the John Cooper Works version of the 3 Door model.
Powertrain
The car gets Mini’s 2-litre TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine that powers other JCW models. It produces 228 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque.
The automaker said zero to 100 km/h arrives in 6.1 seconds.

Unique livery and exterior features
The most obvious differences between the 1965 Victory Edition and other JCW models is its exterior appearance.
The special edition car gets a Chili Red exterior colour inspired by motorsports colours of the 1960s, plus numerous white accents.
There’s a white trim stripe across the hood, roof and rear.
There’s a “52” graphic on both sides of the car. Mäkinen and Easter’s winning car had the number 52.
The roof and mirror caps are also white.
A “1965” sticker is placed on the C-pillar.
The car rides on JCW Lap Spoke two-tone 18-inch wheels. The wheels get foating centre wheel caps and JCW valve stem caps.

Interior highlights
The interior has a traditional JCW colour scheme and trim with some enhancements, including a anthracite and red colours.
Unique to the special edition car, it has a white “1965” graphics on the door sills.
There’s also a dedication on the door jamb, with information about the victorious rally race.
The 6 o’clock spoke of the steering wheel and storage box in the centre of the console feature “1965” lettering.
The race car’s number also appears on the key cap.
The 2026 Mini 1965 Victory Edition is limited to just 45 cars in Canada. It will be available in a single trim with a starting price of $55,200.
It is expected to be available either late in the first quarter or early second quarter of this year.
