Toyota has announced the Canadian pricing of its third battery-electric vehicle available in Canada, the bZ Woodland.
The 2026 bZ Woodland has a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $59,990. With fees and levies, the starting price comes to about $63,300.
The bZ Woodland is slightly larger than the bZ with which it shares many mechanical components and is a twin of the Subaru Trailseeker.
The bZ Woodland is about $5,000 more expensive than the Trailseeker.

What is the bZ Woodland?
The bZ Woodland is a separate model from the regular bZ and is intended to be a more rugged and off-road-capable electric SUV than any other EV in Toyota’s lineup.
The Woodland is 140 millimetres longer than the bZ and 20 millimetres taller in the back. Cargo capacity is also greater at 2,120 litres with the second-row seats folded flat compared to the bZ’s 1,900 litres.
The bZ Woodland also has 215 millimetres of ground clearance.

Powertrain
The bZ Woodland has a more powerful powertrain than the regular bZ with 375 hp. The regular bZ has several options with a 338-hp powertrain being the most powerful.
Toyota said the dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain is capable of sprinting the bZ Woodland from zero to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
Towing capacity is rated at 1,588 kilograms (3,500 pounds).
The all-wheel-drive system comes standard with X-Mode, which optimizes break control and power delivery for enhanced traction, Toyota said. The X-Mode also has grip-control, which modulates power to enhance capability in poor conditions.

Range and charging
Toyota estimates the bZ Woodland has a driving range of 452 kilometres on standard tires. Range drops quite a bit with the optional all-terrain tires, coming in at 418 hp.
The electric SUV utilizes a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery and comes standard with a North American Charging Standard port.
Toyota estimates the Woodland can recharge from 10 to 80 per cent capacity in about 30 minutes when using DC fast-charging.
The on-board charger for Level 2 charging maxes out at 11 kW.
Woodland models also include Plug & Charge capability for ease of payment when charging at public chargers.
