The 2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country is now available in Canada.

It made its Canadian auto show debut in Montreal and the online configurator has opened on the Volvo Cars Canada website.

The EX30 Cross Country has a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $59,800, which with fees and levies comes to a starting selling price of $63,389.

The small electric SUV builds on the regular EX30 and adds various rugged design features and enhanced capability.

This includes bespoke design elements such as a raised chassis, front and rear skid plates and distinctive black exterior graphics.

The automaker said the EX30 Cross Country pairs Scandinavian minimalism with rugged confidence, along with advanced safety technologies.

The Cross Country features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain with 422 hp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque and has an estimated driving range of 365 kilometres. Towing capacity is rated at 1,600 kilograms.

It also reportedly rockets from zero to 100 km/h in a super sports car-like 3.7 seconds.

The company chose to publicly show the vehicle first at the Montreal Auto Show because Quebec is a key EV market for Volvo.

“The EX30 Cross Country brings together the design, safety and versatility our customers expect from Volvo, in a compact electric SUV well suited to a wide range of lifestyles,” said Matt Girgis, managing director, Volvo Cars Canada, in a news release.

“It matches the urban practicality and true off-road confidence that Quebecers are looking for.”

Full model details are available on the Volvo Cars Canada website.
