Hyundai Hope on Wheels, a charitable organization of Hyundai Canada, aims to increase its generosity in its second year.
The organization launched in 2025 with a pledge to donate $4 million in its first year to support the fight against childhood cancer and improve access to life-saving treatment and for children and their families.
For 2026, the organization is committing $4.1 million.
Part of that commitment is a plan to donate $1.15 million to support clinical trial programs.
Hyundai Canada said $750,000 will go toward Step-1, an ACCESS-supported national program that helps families deal with the financial burden of accessing clinical trials as part of care for hard-to-cure cancers.
The other $400,000 will go toward clinical trials for new treatments for hard-to-cure pediatric cancers.
“We are proud to partner with ACCESS and further advance medical breakthroughs through clinical trial funding, two initiatives that embody our commitment to ‘Progress for Humanity,’” said Steve Flamand, president and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada, in a news release.
“Every child deserves access to life-changing treatment, and Hyundai, together with our dealer network, is honoured to champion the mission of Hyundai Hope on Wheels.”
