Subaru Canada has announced the pricing for its all-new Unchrarted subcompact electric SUV.
It has a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $42,995. The MSRP doesn’t include various fees and levies.
Breaking from Subaru’s all-wheel-drive tradition, the 2026 Uncharted is available with front-wheel drive as well as all-wheel drive.
In FWD form, the 2026 Uncharted is the company’s lowest priced electric vehicle. In AWD form, it’s a land rocket able to sprint from zero to 100 km/h in less than five seconds.
Subaru has two other EVs, the recently updated Solterra and the also-new-for-2026 Trailseeker.
Canadian buyers have four trims to choose from, FWD, FWD LR, Sport and GT.
The FWD and FWD LR models get a front-wheel-drive electric powertrain with 221 hp (estimated). The FWD LR (long-range) has a 77-kWh capacity battery and an estimated driving range of up to 480 kilometres. The company did not provide a range figure for the non-long-range model.
The Sport and GT models get a dual-motor powertrain with 338 hp and Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive with X-Mode. These can accelerate like rockets but also manage to have an estimated driving range of up to 460 kilometres.
The Subaru Uncharted comes standard with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charge port.
Under ideal conditions with charging speeds of 150 kW, Subaru estimates the Uncharted can recharge from 10 to 80 per cent of battery charge in about 30 minutes.
