Here are the Canadian prices of 2026 Mazda CX-5

The starting MSRP for the all-new compact SUV is going up by $3,400 over the 2025 version.

The Mazda CX-5 is all-new for 2026 and larger than before, and so are the prices.

Mazda Canada announced prices for the updated compact SUV, and the new starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $36,300, which is $3,400 more than the 2025 model it replaces.

The CX-5, which is entering its third generation, happens to be the company’s bestselling vehicle in Canada.

Exterior

The new model looks similar to the one it replaces, but is 4.5 inches longer than before, and its wheelbase was stretched almost as long as well. It’s also half an inch wider.

The front fascia is new, featuring what Mazda calls a Signature Wing flanked by LED headlights and two-tiered daytime running lights.

Other updates include new fender trim, “Mazda” script on the rear trunk lid, bolder proportions and more.

Powertrain

The 2026 CX-5 comes with a 2.5-litre Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine with 187 hp and 186 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission sending power to the i-Active all-wheel-drive system.

A hybrid powertrain is planned for 2027.

Interior

The new CX-5 is roomier, plus outside noise has been reduced inside the cabin.

There’s an available 15.6-inch centre touchscreen, which is the largest offered in any Mazda vehicle, or 12.9 inches on standard versions. There’s also an available head-up display that projects information onto the windshield.

The infotainment system features the latest version of Mazda Connect, which includes Google built-in.

Safety features

All trims of the CX-5 include a suite of safety and driver assistance features.

These features include:

  • Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) with Speed Limit Assist
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Rear Smart Brake Support and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Pedestrian Detection
  • Smart Brake Support (SBS Front) and Turning-Across Path alert
  • Emergency Lane Keeping (Blind Spot Assist, Road Keep Assist and Head-on Traffic Avoidance Assist)
  • Obstacle Detection
  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Vehicle Exit Warning
  • Driver Attention Alert, which can detect driver distraction of fatigue, along with parking sensors (front and rear)
  • Rear-view camera with dynamic lines and tow hitch guide for easier parking and low speed towing maneuvers

Canadian prices

The starting Canadian MSRPs for the 2026 Mazda CX-5 are as follows:

  • GX – $36,300
  • GS – $39,200
  • GT – $42,200
  • GT Panoramic Roof Package – $44,200
  • GT Premium Package – $46,700

The MSRP doesn’t include fees and levies. Fees, levies and selling price may vary by location.

The 2026 CX-5 will go on sale this spring.
